What Is COBIT 2019?

COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies) 2019 is ISACA's IT governance and management framework. It provides a comprehensive set of governance objectives, management objectives, and best practices that organizations use to govern and manage their enterprise IT.

COBIT 2019 is widely used in Federal and State government agencies, enterprise organizations, and IT audit programs. It maps to and aligns with other frameworks including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and ITIL — making it a useful integration layer for multi-framework GRC programs.

The COBIT 2019 Foundation certification validates foundational understanding of the framework and is a prerequisite for the COBIT 2019 Design and Implementation certifications.
