CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) is ISACA's certification for professionals who design, build, and manage the technical solutions that protect personal data. It focuses on privacy engineering — the implementation layer of privacy, not just policies and procedures.
CDPSE is particularly relevant for organizations subject to GDPR, CCPA, state privacy laws, and for Federal contractors who must protect PII under NIST SP 800-122 and the CUI program. The certification bridges the gap between legal privacy requirements and technical implementation.
ISACA requires three years of privacy-related work experience across at least two CDPSE domains for certification.
